Commission Calculator
Commission (arhat) calculator for fruit and vegetable market agents and traders. Enter total sale amount and commission percentage to see commission amount, amount remaining after arhat, and effective commission rate. Quick presets for common mandi rates (5–10%) are illustrative — use the rate agreed with your arthi or market committee. Results update live; export a PDF summary. Percentage math only; fixed crate fees (lagga, loading) belong in the Profit or Transport calculators.
How to Use the Commission Calculator
Enter the total sale value and commission percentage. Commission amount and remaining balance calculate instantly.
- Enter total sale amount (gross value sold through the agent).
- Enter commission percentage, or tap a common rate preset (5–10%).
- Review commission amount, remaining amount after arhat, and effective rate.
- Download PDF or Reset to compare another sale.
Methodology
Commission amount = sale × (rate ÷ 100). Remaining amount = sale − commission. Effective commission % = commission ÷ sale × 100. Fixed per-crate or per-trip fees are not part of this percentage formula.
Worked examples
- Rs 100,000 sale at 6% → commission Rs 6,000, remaining Rs 94,000.
- Rs 50,000 sale at 10% → commission Rs 5,000, remaining Rs 45,000.
- Zero sale → commission Rs 0 (rate still shown as entered).
Common mistakes
- Entering net amount after commission instead of gross sale value.
- Using a notified rate when your private arthi agreement differs.
- Expecting lagga/loading to be included in the percentage.
Limitations
Single percentage on one sale total — no tiered rates, sliding scales, or multi-party splits. Official provincial schedules may differ from preset buttons; always confirm locally.
FAQ
What commission rate should I use?
Fruit and vegetable mandis commonly work around 5–10% of sale value. Official notified rates can differ by province and crop. Use the rate agreed with your arthi or market committee — preset buttons are shortcuts only.
Does this include lagga or loading fees?
No. This calculator covers percentage commission (arhat) only. Add fixed crate fees (lagga, loading, unloading) in the Profit or Transport Cost calculators as separate expense lines.
How is commission amount calculated?
Commission amount = total sale amount × (commission % ÷ 100). Remaining amount = total sale − commission amount.
What is effective commission %?
It confirms commission amount ÷ total sale × 100, matching the rate you entered (except when sale amount is zero).
Can commission % be above 100%?
No. The calculator accepts 0–100%. Values outside that range show a validation message.
Do results update automatically?
Yes. Edit sale amount or commission % and the commission amount and remaining balance update live.
How do I use this with the Profit Calculator?
Calculate arhat here first, then enter the commission amount as an expense (or reduce net receipts) in the Profit Calculator for a full lot P&L.
Is GST or tax deducted from commission?
No. Enter the gross sale value and percentage you actually use in the mandi. Tax treatment is outside this tool.
Can I download the result?
Yes. Use the PDF button to save sale amount, commission rate, commission amount, and remaining amount.
Is this only for Pakistan?
Labels reflect Sabzi Mandi (arhat/arthi) usage and PKR defaults, but the percentage formula works for any currency configured in site settings.
