How to Use the Invoice Generator

Fill business and customer blocks, add line items with tax and discount, review the live total bar and preview, then save, print, download PDF, or share.

  1. Enter Business details (name, address, contact, tax ID) and optional logo.
  2. Enter Customer name, address, and contact fields.
  3. Set invoice number, dates, due date, and currency symbol in Invoice meta.
  4. Add line items — description, quantity, unit price, tax %, and discount % per row.
  5. Enter shipping, payment details, notes, and terms as needed.
  6. Review the totals bar and Invoice preview, then Save, Print, download PDF, or Share.

Totals methodology

  • Line amount = quantity × unit price.
  • Discount and tax apply per line using the percentages you enter.

Can I import a paper invoice?

Yes. Use Scan Paper Invoice to capture with your camera, review OCR fields, then open the result here for editing, PDF, print, and share.

How are totals calculated?

Subtotal sums line extensions (quantity × unit price). Per-line discount and tax percentages roll into discount and tax totals; shipping adds to the grand total shown in the preview.

Can I add my business logo?

Yes. Upload PNG, JPG, WebP, or GIF up to 512 KB. The logo appears above your business name in the preview and PDF.

Does my invoice data leave my device?

Editing, preview, print, and PDF generation run in your browser. Save stores a draft in local storage on this device only unless you export or share manually.

Can I print or download PDF?

Yes. Use Print / Print Preview for paper copies or the PDF toolbar action to download. Layout targets A4-style invoice pages.

Is this legal or tax advice?

No. ToolsLibrary provides a formatting and calculation helper only. You are responsible for invoice numbering rules, tax registration, VAT/GST compliance, and record retention in your country.

Can I duplicate an invoice for a new client?

Yes. Duplicate creates a copy with a new invoice number suffix and fresh line-item IDs so you can edit customer details quickly.

What currency is used?

Set the currency symbol field (e.g. $, €, Rs). The tool formats amounts with that symbol — it does not perform FX conversion.

Can I add payment instructions?

Yes. Fill Payment details, Notes, and Terms fields — they appear on the preview and exported PDF.
