How to Use the ATS Resume Analyzer

Paste your resume text, optionally add a target role, experience level, and job description, then run analysis and work through the prioritized improvement checklist.

  1. Enter your target role (e.g. Project Manager, Dynamics 365 Developer).
  2. Choose experience level — Fresher, Experienced, or Senior — for length guidance.
  3. Paste your full resume text into the resume textarea.
  4. Optionally paste the job description for stronger keyword matching.
  5. Click Analyze ATS score and review the overall score, dimension bars, and section checks.
  6. Work through prioritized suggestions, keyword gaps, and verb replacements — then re-run after edits.

How scoring works

  • Overall score (0–100) combines formatting, completeness, keywords, verbs, and length.
  • Dimension bars show where the resume is strong vs needs work.
  • Estimated pass probability is a heuristic — not a hiring guarantee.

Does this replace a human recruiter?

No. It applies ATS-oriented heuristics (structure, keywords, verbs, completeness). A high score does not guarantee an interview or job offer — always tailor honestly to each job description.

What does the overall ATS score measure?

A weighted blend of formatting, section completeness, keyword alignment, action-verb strength, and length guidance — scored out of 100 with a star rating.

Should I paste a job description?

Optional but recommended. When provided, keyword gap analysis compares resume terms against the JD for stronger role-specific suggestions.

What is estimated pass probability?

A heuristic derived from the overall score — not a prediction of any specific employer's ATS. Treat it as directional feedback, not a hiring guarantee.

Does my resume text leave the browser?

Analysis runs locally in your browser. ToolsLibrary does not upload resume content for scoring unless you explicitly save history while signed in.

What experience levels are supported?

Fresher, Experienced, and Senior presets adjust length guidance — fresher targets about one page; experienced and senior allow one to two pages.

What are section checks?

The report verifies common resume sections (contact, summary, experience, skills, education) and flags missing or weak areas with pass, warn, or fail status.

How should I use verb suggestions?

Replace weak verbs (e.g. 'helped', 'worked on') with stronger action verbs that truthfully describe your contributions — do not invent achievements.

Can I upload a PDF resume?
