Dummy Data Generator
Free browser-local Dummy Data Generator for QA, software development, staging, demos, API testing, CRM testing, form testing, and international transaction workflow testing. Choose a country profile, select fields, generate one or many synthetic records, then copy or download JSON/CSV. Includes an International Transaction Test Data mode (sender → recipient). All data is synthetic — never real identities or government databases. Generation stays in your browser and is not uploaded to ToolsLibrary servers.
How to Use the Dummy Data Generator
Create synthetic QA profiles in your browser: pick a country, choose fields, set how many records you need, generate, then copy or download JSON/CSV. Use International Transaction Test Data mode when you need sender → recipient bundles.
- Choose Standard records, then select a country profile (for example United States or Haiti).
- Tick the fields you need — names, address, phone, email, customer/transaction IDs, or synthetic CIN / driver license / passport style values.
- Enter the number of records (up to 100 in standard mode).
- Press Generate to create synthetic results (or Regenerate for a new set).
- Review the on-screen records and the synthetic-data notice — values are fake test data only.
- Use Copy All, Download JSON, or Download CSV for your staging or automation workflow.
- Paste or import the output into forms, APIs, CRM sandboxes, or demo scripts as needed for QA.
- For cross-border QA, switch to International Transaction Test Data, pick sender and recipient countries, generate bundles, then copy or download.
Methodology & synthetic data generation
Records are built from country profiles (for example United States, Canada and France) that supply name lists, regions, postal-code and phone formats; values are picked with a seeded pseudo-random generator (Mulberry32).
Two modes are available: person records (name, date of birth, address, phone, email, customer ID and optional synthetic ID-style numbers), up to 100 at a time, and sender–recipient transaction bundles, up to 50. Results can be copied or downloaded as JSON or CSV. All values are fictional and must not be used as real identity documents.
Worked dummy data example
- Settings: country United States, 3 person records, default fields.
- Output: three JSON records with fields such as firstName, lastName, dateOfBirth, streetAddress, city, stateRegion, postalCode, phone, email and customerId in the form CUST-US-########.
- Use: seed a test database or demo form without copying real customer data, or download CSV to import into a spreadsheet.
Privacy
Generation, copy, and download stay in your browser. Generated values are not uploaded to ToolsLibrary servers and are not sent to analytics. Clearing or leaving the page discards results from this tool’s UI.
Limitations
Synthetic identifiers are not designed to pass real government or bank validation. Country profiles are illustrative patterns — not exhaustive official address databases. Maximum 100 standard records or 50 transaction bundles per run.
International mode
Pick a sender country and recipient country (for example United States → Haiti). The tool builds a synthetic sender profile, recipient profile, and transaction test block (ID, amount, currency, status). This is test data only — it does not connect to payment networks or move money.
FAQ
Is this real personal data?
No. Every name, address, phone, email, and identifier is synthetic test data generated in your browser. It is not pulled from real people, customer databases, or government databases.
Can I use the IDs as real government documents?
No. Synthetic CIN / ID-style, driver license-style, and passport-style values are labeled as test data and are intentionally not designed to pass real-world validation.
Does generated data leave my browser?
No. Generation, copy, and download run locally. ToolsLibrary does not upload generated records to servers or send them to analytics.
Which countries are supported?
Country profiles currently include United States, Haiti, Canada, France, India, China, Brazil, Poland, United Kingdom, and Germany. The architecture is data-driven so more countries can be added later.
What is International Transaction Test Data mode?
Select a sender country and recipient country (for example United States → Haiti). The tool generates synthetic sender and recipient profiles plus a fake transaction ID, amount, currency, and status for QA workflows — it does not move real money.
Can I download JSON or CSV?
Yes. After generating records you can download JSON or CSV containing the selected fields. Files are built in the browser from the visible results.
How many records can I generate?
Standard mode supports up to 100 records per run. International transaction mode supports up to 50 bundles per run.
Will synthetic emails or phones work for real delivery?
No. Contact fields use test domains and synthetic numbers for forms and staging only. Do not use them to contact real people.
How is this different from a GUID generator?
GUID Generator creates unique IDs only. Dummy Data Generator builds full synthetic person, address, contact, and international transaction test profiles for QA and demos.
Can I regenerate a new set without resetting fields?
Yes. After a successful run, use Regenerate to create a new synthetic set with the same country, fields, and count settings.
