ZIP / Postal Code Finder
Find postal and ZIP codes for Pakistan, GCC countries, USA, Canada, UK, Australia, and India. Filter by country, state, city, district, and area; autocomplete as you type; reverse-lookup from a code; view maps; export a result PDF; and save favorites. Datasets are Admin-managed with bootstrap seed data — always verify critical addresses with the national postal authority.
How to Use the ZIP / Postal Code Finder
Search forward by place name and filters, or reverse-lookup by code, then review results, maps, and export options. Verify important addresses independently.
- Read the on-page data accuracy disclaimer.
- Search tab — pick a country, optionally set state/city/district/area, and type a place query.
- Pick a suggestion from autocomplete or press search to view result cards.
- Reverse lookup tab — enter a postal/ZIP code and optional country filter.
- Open a result for map, terminology label, and coordinates when available.
- Favorite a record or export PDF; use recent history chips to revisit lookups.
Forward vs reverse lookup
- Forward — place name → postal codes.
- Reverse — postal code → place names and admin divisions.
- Country filter narrows ambiguous codes shared across regions.
Data sources and accuracy
Bootstrap seed covers common cities; Admin can import larger CSV catalogs. Coverage badges describe completeness per country. This tool does not guarantee official postal authority accuracy — confirm before legal, customs, or billing use.
Worked examples
- Islamabad, Pakistan → G-9 / Blue Area postcodes.
- 10001 + US → Chelsea, New York matches.
- Dubai area search with UAE country filter.
Common mistakes
- Assuming seed data lists every street-level postcode.
- Using outdated codes after Admin import without checking as-of date.
- Shipping high-value parcels without carrier address validation.
Privacy
Lookups run in your browser against loaded datasets. Favorites and recent entries use local storage. Query text is not uploaded to ToolsLibrary servers.
FAQ
Which countries are supported?
Launch coverage includes Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, USA, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, and India. More countries can be enabled from Admin.
Is the postal data official?
The tool ships with a curated bootstrap seed. Admin can import official or GeoNames CSV datasets. Always verify critical addresses with the national postal authority — data may be incomplete or outdated.
Can I reverse-lookup a ZIP or postcode?
Yes. Open the Reverse lookup tab, enter a postal/ZIP code, and optionally filter by country to see matching places.
What do coverage badges mean?
Badges show whether a country uses starter seed data, partial imports, or a fuller imported dataset. Loading indicators appear while country chunks fetch.
Can I filter by city or district?
Yes. On Search, pick a country then narrow with state, city, district, and area filters plus free-text query autocomplete.
Is there a map view?
Yes. Result cards can show a map pin when coordinates exist in the dataset for that record.
Can I export or favorite a result?
Yes. Favorite records for quick recall and download a PDF summary for a selected postal record when available.
Why might my postcode be missing?
Seed data is not exhaustive. Admin imports expand coverage. New developments or re-zoning may lag official catalogs.
Should I use this for shipping labels?
Use results as a helper only. Carriers and postal services require validated addresses — confirm before printing labels or invoicing.
