How to Use the QR Code Generator

Pick a QR type, fill the fields, customize colors and size, preview the live canvas, then download PNG/SVG/PDF or print.

  2. Complete the fields shown for that type (e.g. website URL or Wi‑Fi SSID and password).
  3. Choose color presets or custom foreground/background, error correction, and output size.
  4. Optional — upload a center logo and add a short label under the code.
  5. Review the live preview canvas and fix any validation message.
  6. Download PNG, SVG, or PDF — or Copy / Print — then reset for another code.

Static vs dynamic

These are static QR codes: changing the destination later requires generating a new image. Do not expect post-print URL editing in v1.

Type-specific tips

  • Wi‑Fi — use WPA for modern routers; test scan distance before printing posters.
  • vCard — fills contact apps when scanned from paper or screen.
  • Multi-URL — encodes several labeled links; verify payload length on small prints.

Common mistakes

  • Low contrast colors that phones struggle to scan.
  • Oversized logos without high error correction.
  • Expecting analytics on scans — static codes have no built-in click tracking.

Privacy

Payloads and styling are processed locally. Nothing is uploaded to ToolsLibrary servers unless you share the file yourself.

Limitations

Very long payloads produce dense codes that are harder to scan at small sizes. Dynamic redirect / edit-after-print links are not available in v1.

FAQ

Are these dynamic QR codes?

No. v1 creates static QR codes — the encoded payload is fixed in the image and cannot be changed after printing. Dynamic short-link editing is planned for a later version.

Which QR types are supported?

Does my data leave the browser?

No. Payload building and canvas rendering happen on your device. Downloads are generated locally.

Yes. Upload a small logo image — the tool uses higher error correction (H) when a logo is present so scanners stay reliable.

PNG (raster), SVG (vector), and PDF. You can also copy the payload text or use Print.

How do Wi‑Fi QR codes work?

Enter SSID, password, and encryption type (WPA, WEP, or nopass). Scanning connects compatible phones without typing the password manually.

What are error correction levels?

L, M, Q, and H control how much damage a code can tolerate. Higher levels help when you add a center logo or print small codes.

Will my style choices be saved?

Type, fields, and color presets persist in browser local storage on this device so you can resume styling later.

Can I create a WhatsApp chat link?

Yes. Choose WhatsApp, enter the phone number and optional prefilled message, then download or print the code.
